Hope everyone had a great summer and is starting to get settled back into the school year.  FSR Summer Camp was a huge success!  As the cooler weather begins, so does another year of scouting.  We will be meeting at Indian Hill on Tuesdays 7:30pm!   9/13 is a PLC meeting for Patrol Leaders and Scribe only to plan out the upcoming meetings.  See you soon!  Proposed schedule includes [9/24 - ***Camp & Bike trip at Alaire State Park], [10/15 - *** Camp - DVOA or 10 Mile River shooting weekend], [11/5 - *** Camp & ropes course - Blue Mtn PA].

Troop 131 is wrapping up Spring 2022 with these great events: 5/7 HYAA Parade; 5/13-5/15- Whitewater Challengers rafting; 5/14 Lequier historic markers restoration; 5/21 Schenk-Covenhoven historic restoration; 6/3-6/5- State Police/National Guard Camporee in Sea Girt; 6/17-6/19- "Aqua Camporee" at Quail Hill.  Sign up during our Tuesday meetings (5/3, 5/10, 5/24, 5/31, 6/7 and 6/14 at Indian Hill School).  And 5/17 is the PLC meeting.

  Join us for our week of summer camp at our own Forestburg Scout Reservation, 7/24 thru 7/30/22.   Earn lots of merit badges and rank advancements while camping with your friends; see Mr. Pedroza for details.  And if interested, consider joining Monmouth Council's contingent of scouts from our area that will be going to BSA's 2023 National Jamboree at Summit Bechtel Reserve in WV July 19-23, 2023.  It's a year away, but spots fill up quickly. (Must be at least age 12 by 1st day of Jambo.) 

 Through the course of this year we have been fortunate to have several scouts earn the rank of Eagle.  Troop 131 heartily congratulates our newest Eagles:  Andrew Ge, Bryce Gestrich, Christian Trujillo, and Dante Valer.  They have earned scouting's highest honor through their amazing work from Tiger scouts to now Eagles.  

A great weekend of camping at Citta Scout camp.  Scouts participated in the on-site COPE couse, zip line, rifle shooting and 3D archery course.  A full day of activities topped off with some excellent cooking skills.  Worked on some open fire cooking including a dutch oven meal and dessert.

A cold and snowy weekend up at Winterberg (FSR).  Scouts were able to try out many of the favorite camp activities along with some unique winter games on the ice-
